Long Barn has been tastefully refurbished to a high standard, incorporating its traditional beginnings with all the comforts of contemporary living. The accommodation is all ground floor and presents a light and airy open-plan living space, guests staying between May and September can also enjoy private access to the outdoor heated swimming pool. Long Barn serves as both a private summer haven and a cosy winter retreat.
The open-plan living space features exposed beams, a wood burning stove, vaulted ceilings and a well-equipped kitchen which has all you need to prepare a range of meals from a light lunch to a wonderful supper. The dining table sits adjacent to the kitchen area, allowing for a social evening while the chef of the group cooks up something tasty or why not take a break from the cooking and pre-order a delicious home-made meal. The sitting room area provides comfy seating and a cosy wood burning stove, perfect after a long day exploring the local area. Bedroom one boasts a sumptuous king-size bed, en-suite shower room and french doors opening out to the garden. Bedroom two provides twin 3’ zip and link single beds, which can be made into a super-king size bed on request. The family bathroom features cosy underfloor heating, ideal for those cooler mornings.
Long Barn sits in front of a traditional Cotswold stone courtyard stable block, with a Norman church as a backdrop. There is a private, fully enclosed south facing garden offering stunning views across unspoilt countryside with fields of grazing horses and free-range chickens. The property has private access from the stable courtyard where there is ample parking.
Situated on the outskirts of the village of Coates, which has both the source of the River Thames and the architectural structure of the Coates Portal, part of the longest tunnel on the Thames and Severn Canal located at the Tunnel House Inn.
