The front door opens up into the open plan kitchen/diner which is a lovely country style room, boasting exposed beams, high vaulted ceilings and is ideal for socialising with your loved ones. To the left of the kitchen is the sitting room which has been delicately decorated to create a warming and homely feel and features a breath-taking, extraordinary stone well, covered by protective glass; a real statement! The warming woodburning stove is perfect for cold winter nights when you want to warm up and snuggle up in front of the TV. As your eyes grow heavy, venture into the right side of the property where you will find the two homely bedrooms. The master bedroom is a delightful room which contains a wonderful four-poster king size bed, has striking exposed Cotswold feature wall, high vaulted ceilings and boasts an en-suite shower room with a large walk-in rain shower to enjoy an invigorating shower in. The second bedroom contains a super-king-size double which can be made to twin beds on request, and has been stylishly decorated throughout. The bathroom finishes off the property and contains a relaxing bath to soak away any troubles. In the morning, join your guests in the wrap-around garden and enjoy your breakfast al fresco whilst you take in the serene surroundings and make plans for your holiday. Adjacent to the patio is a lovely enclosed area, perfect for dogs to run around in. Less than a mile from Stonewell Cottage, you will be in the popular and bustling market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, which has plenty of amenities such as boutique shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants, as well as the Farmers’ Market which every second Thursday of each month, featuring inviting local produce. Maugersbury is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with many scenic walks and cycle routes right on its doorstep, including the Gloucestershire Way walking trail, a 94-mile trail from Chepstow Castle to Tewkesbury, passing through many Cotswold villages and towns on its route. Moving slightly further afield you can discover over 500 species of birds by visiting Birdland Park & Gardens, which is a lovely spot to enjoy a picnic, surrounded by wildlife, or perhaps make a visit to the nearby village of Bourton-on-the-Water and discover a miniature replica of the Cotswold-stone village at The Model Village.
