Christchurch is an ideal base to explore the Royal Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, a pretty village with village pub and store. Just a short drive from the market town of Coleford, shop local produce or visit the restaurants and Tapas bar. From your door you are served with access onto the countryside and woodlands, also with Symonds Yat Rock a short drive, and just a little further are the banks of the River Wye. For the more adventurous there is caving, abseiling and canoeing available from Symonds Yat, and a high wire rope course from Mallards Pike. Bike hire is available with trails that will take you deep into the forest. Visit Puzzlewood and Clearwell with ancient caves, and Ross on Wye, with timbered Tudor houses, shops and restaurants. This single storey cottage set within the grounds of the owner s home, where privacy is assured, and is the perfect base for any stay in the Forest of Dean. You can leave your boots behind in the front porch before you step inside, this space is open plan and enjoys views across the village. The lounge area is perfect for relaxing after a day walking and exploring, sink back into the sofa and enjoy a movie on the TV with DVD. For dining, a table and chairs for four is close by, or you may choose to dine at the local village pub. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals, with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. And when the sun goes down, there are two bedrooms accessed off the hallway. A double bedroom with views onto the gardens and a bunk bedroom that s perfect for children. Completing the accommodation there is a shower room with shower and WC. Step outside and enjoy the views onto the countryside, there is an enclosed garden with table and chairs so you can dine alfresco during the warmer months. There is off road parking for two cars and secure bike storage available.
