Bow Cottage, a Cotswold stone three-bedroom cottage sits within the historic village of Bourton-on-the-Water, in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds. Bow Cottage is warm and inviting, with exposed honey-coloured stone walls, and Farrow and Ball colours throughout, it is an ideal place to call home for a family of six looking to escape to the country. Upon arrival you will find two off-road parking spaces directly outside the cottage, allowing you to easily unload your belongings. Step inside and make yourself comfortable in the lounge, with honey-coloured stone and a centre fireplace, this is a lovely space to unwind and chat about the day's adventures. Allow the house chef to cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher; there is even a washing machine for your laundry. Move upstairs and choose between two double bedrooms, each beautifully presented with original feature walls. The stunning bathroom with stone, feature walls, has a freestanding, slipper bath and large walk-in shower, together with a traditional basin and WC. On the ground floor there is a single bedroom, and an en-suite shower and handbasin, making it ideal for elderly or less mobile guests; there is also a ground floor cloakroom with WC. The safe, totally enclosed rear garden is covered with Cotswold stone and has a raised deck to catch the late afternoon sun and to enjoy a glass of wine. At the front of the cottage there is an outside charging point and a shower for our four-legged guests. With direct access to the village and walks to the Slaughters from the gate, Bow Cottage is well-placed for a Cotswold experience. For those who enjoy Clarkson’s Farm, his Hawkstone Brewery and Tap Room is a short, flat walk away, a perfect end to a walk in the countryside. Head into the heart of the village and stock-up on your essentials at the Co-Op superstore, or why not sample a hearty meal at a restaurant, with The Rose Tree Restaurant, Kingsbridge, or The Dial House to name a few. There are some fantastic attractions that await you, including The Model Village, Cotswold Motor Museum, as well as the Birdland Park and Gardens. Three miles away lies Stow-on-the-Wold, an ancient market town that offers a bustling farmers market, tea rooms, antiques, and craft markets and plenty of well-established eateries. Hiking and walking come in abundance here, offering routes through idyllic villages and trails overlooking the countryside. Break away to Bow Cottage and experience this delightful part of the Cotswolds.
