Mill cottage is a stylishly decorated 2 bedroom converted 17th century stone built grain store barn, in the delightful village of Longhope, on the edge of the Forest of Dean.

The cottage has exposed beams and original stonework and are complemented by the homely décor and furnishings providing modern comfort.
Sleeps up to 5 people, with a ground floor King size bedroom with en-suite walk in shower room. With beams in the vaulted ceiling, they frame a handsome, large upstairs bedroom with 3 single beds, two of which are zip and link.
Feel at home with a fully equipped kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. This leads into the bright airy dining room with a large family dining table.
Our cottage has all the home from home comforts including leather sofa, wood burner, WIFI or if you simply want to relax with a board game or a book with a cuppa and a slice of the home-made “welcome” cake.
The cottage has its own private garden area with a hot tub (for an additional hire cost) table and chairs and the use of a BBQ, along with shared use of a further 7 acres of carefully maintained gardens and pasture. Baynam brook flows through the estate with a large willow tree along the bank creating a very tranquil setting.
Perfect for couples, family get togethers and small groups wishing to explore the ancient Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.

We are in the perfect location to visit the historic market towns of Ross on Wye and Monmouth, with the City of Gloucester just 10 minutes’ drive away. Slightly further afield are Cheltenham Spa, Bath Cardiff, Bristol and Birmingham.
There are castles to explore, trekking, cycling and Go Ape in the ancient Forest of Dean and kayaking down the River Wye.
Located in Longhope, this cottage is in a rural area. Sculpture Trail and Forest Hills Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those in the mood for shopping can visit Gloucester Docks and Gloucester Quays. Consider Elmore Court for a night out or BattleSports Glos if you're traveling with kids. Kayaking and rafting offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain biking and hiking nearby.
