As you enter the property you are welcomed by a large entrance hall and convenient cloakroom to your left where you can kick off your boots and step into the living/dining area which runs the full width of the cottage and has a gas stove-effect fire and lovely French doors opening out to the back enclosed and private back garden. When the weather permits, you can enjoy your dinner al fresco style at the outdoor seating area. The large kitchen comes fully-equipped so look forward to making delicious home-cooked meals whilst enjoying a glass of wine. Choose from one of the three bedrooms on the first floor to lay your head after a long day in Stow, all of which are neatly decorated and well-arranged; the master contains a king-size bed and benefits from an en-suite shower room to enjoy an invigorating rinse down and the two other bedrooms have double beds. The shower room finishes off the first-floor nicely and has a large walk-in shower. You will find plenty of amenities just a short walk from your door step, including tea rooms, individual shops, pubs, restaurants and art galleries. If you want to discover the history of Stow, take a walk around the market square, where you will find the town stock at one end which dates back to the 15th Century and is shaded by an old Elm Tree and at the opposite end, you will find the ancient Market Cross, originally erected as a symbolic reminder to traders of the times to deal honestly and fairly. St Edward’s Parish Church is known for its enchanting looking tree surrounding the doorway and it is here you will find a memorial of those who fought in the last Civil War. At nearly 800ft, Stow is the highest of the Cotswold towns, located on the Roman Fosse Way and has many scenic walking and cycle route to explore, arrange a tour with Cotswold Walks & Hikes & Bikes, which is just a short car journey from Stow. Bourton-on-the-Water has a fantastic miniature replica of the Cotswold-stone village at The Model Village and many stores offering refreshments afterwards! Take a trip to Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens for the day, or take a tour at Undiscovered Cotswolds.
