Lock House is a beautiful detached Grade II listed former Lock Keepers house, located at the entrance to the historic Gloucester Docks. This delightfully welcoming holiday property offers cosy accommodation including three bedrooms, a bathroom with an attractive roll top bath, two sitting rooms with open fires, original wooden floors, and a dining room that overlooks the River Severn. The garden is situated right on the riverbank, and is a wonderful spot in which to relax with a drink after a day spent sightseeing. Gloucester Docks is a short distance from The Lock House, and offers some lively attractions including award winning museums, restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, and traditional shipbuilding. Gloucester's many attractions, parks, stunning countryside and honey coloured Cotswold villages are all within easy reach of this wonderful holiday property.
Amenities: Gas central heating with open fire ( starter pack of smokeless coal for the fire) in the sitting room. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, DVD, stereo/CD player, WiFi, library of books, games and DVDs. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Riverside garden with furniture and BBQ. Off road parking for 3 cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops, bars and restaurants two mins walk. Note: Due to close proximity of deep open water at front and rear, children must be very closely supervised at all times and care should be taken with dogs. Note: This is an old property and so the stairs are quite steep, however there is a handrail down one side.

The Eegency town of Cheltenham is an easy drive away, and offersfascinating Georgian architecture and the world-renowned Gold Cup horse racing. There is so much for all the family to do in this lovely area, no matter what your interests.
