If you're looking for mountain biking action, you will be spoilt for choice between Dyfi Forest, Coed y Brenin and Nant yr Arian. For watersports, Aberdyfi features sailing, sailboarding, rowing, canoeing, fishing and boat trips. The back garden of the property is bounded by the River Dyfi which offers excellent fishing opportunities and is famous for its brown trout, salmon and sea trout. Dyfi fisheries states that It is one of the best sea trout rivers in the UK, if not Europe. Fishing is allowed from 1 Apr-17 Oct with no Sunday fishing, you can Fly fish from the property with a Fishing Rod Licence (Licence can be purchased at the local post office in Cemmaes Road or online at https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences/buy-a-fishing-licence ) and a permit (Day tickets can be bought in Machynlleth at Mr News, 5 Heol Pen’Rallt, Machynlleth SY20 8AG ). For walking, 1 mile away from the property are the footpaths Glyndwr's Way and Dyfi Valley Way - ideal for discovering the area and getting some much needed fresh air!
