Hen Cymyran - A House On The Beach That Sleeps 15 Guests In 8 Bedrooms, Llanfair Yn Neubwll

Gwynedd. Sleeps up to 15

Utterly, unashamedly the best place on Anglesey to be - Hen Cymyran is just heaven…Poised on the edge of the sea to a backdrop of sand dunes, you’re overlooking the ocean from most angles. This breathtaking holiday house nestles in a magical setting that is as exhilarating in blue-sky sunshine as on a wild and stormy night.

You'll get here by way of a long sandy track crossing the beach, that's if you're arriving by car of course- with a private jetty and slipway and plenty of space to land a helicopter, your options are plenty.

This is the place for big celebration gatherings with a vast dining area and the longest cedar table ever. Floor to ceiling windows command views that reach out across one of the loveliest coastlines.

The sociable kitchen is a joy to work in and you can pick up a haul of fresh fish from Menai Seafood and get cooking, or prepare pizzas to cook to perfection in the wood-fired pizza oven.

Eat breakfast on the balcony or sip cider in the summer with the BBQ on and drink in the long views of the sea with family and friends.

Soak in the hot tub on the terrace, gaze at the stars as the sea laps back and forth and seabirds soar overhead. Or pad down the steps to the jetty from the hot tub for a swim and then back for a beer on the outdoor sofa.

The bedroom interiors are new and spacious, fresh and fabulous, with stunning furnishings. The main bedroom is to die for - light cascades through massive windows with only water and sky visible through the great spyglass.

You can bathe with watery views and bubbles of something cold in one of the bedrooms. Seven other bedrooms cater for the gang. The ground floor bedroom with an ensuite wet room off the living room is handy for those with limited mobility.

Bathrooms are smart and plentiful.

There’s just heaps of space. Bag the L-shaped sofa and watch the waves crash through the walls of glass and the skies go dark in winter. If the weather is foul, just hunker down around the two wood-burning stoves and play games or just enjoy majestic views. With three living rooms, you can all spread out and chill.

Wildlife fans will swoon: spot dolphins, seals, curlews and wander along the surf at the sea's edge. Stride over headlands, cycle your socks off, fish from the shore – there’s much to do and see from your seaside retreat. For those that love aircraft, this is the place to be (a little noisy but worth it).

The local area is awash with things to do, but you may prefer to wait for low tide and pick your way along the foreshore below the house. Head to Holyhead Mountain for a walk to South Stack or to visit the puffins. Trearddur Bay and Rhoscolyn beaches are fabulous and both have great places to eat

Mooch around the boutique shops and cosy pubs in Beaumaris. Or pop for a wander at quirky Menai Bridge with artisan shops and walks by the Menai Strait.

Snowdonia is 30 minutes by car and with our special discount for Hen Cymyran guests for Zip World, adventure beckons…

If it all sounds too busy for you then take heart! Just stay put and as darkness falls, light the fire pit outside or snuggle up on a sofa beneath the great glass window and raise a glass to the stars.

Sublime.
