Whistling Sands Getaway is located near a hidden, sandy beach and the Wales Coast Path, with the picturesque seaside village of Aberdaron just over three miles away at the tip of the peninsula. Whether it’s a romantic break away, a honeymoon or an engagement, this idyllic setting provides the perfect backdrop.  

The house itself blends charm and character with sumptuous features, creating an atmosphere of complete calm. All on one floor, the living areas are defined by characterful beamed ceilings and the cosy, naturing aesthetic of the wood burning fire. Open plan, the living space feels bright and airy, with a squishy sofa and armchair poised in front of a quirky TV cabinet. Countryside views stretch out from the adjacent patio doors, connecting the indoors and outdoors. The kitchen is modern and stylish, fully equipped for all your cookery needs, with a charming dining space perfect for dinner for two!

The bedroom boasts a large four-poster bed, with a beautiful free-standing bath on an elevated platform in the corner. Furnished with a cosy chair, wall-mounted TV and plenty of storage, you can enjoy time together in this relaxing space. Equipped with all the modern comforts you may need; you can make yourself at home in this beautiful space. The large en-suite bathroom offers the same modern detailing and charming aesthetics as the rest of the cottage.

Stepping outside is like walking into holiday mode. An elevated patio stretches between the indoor living areas, with outdoor furniture and a barbecue so you can live amongst the tranquil countryside views. Whistling Sands Getaway is one of three beautiful cottages within an impressive barn conversion on the Llyn Peninsula. Whilst the cottages are all nearby, each offers its own sense of privacy and tranquillity, perfect for couples to enjoy some time away together. Boasting its own enviable countryside views and a private patio, we cannot think of a better getaway in Wales!

From the cottage you can follow the Wales Coastal Path to the west, discovering Porthoer (Whistling Sands), a National Trust beach where the sand does actually whistle when the conditions are right. With a small beach-side café, this is one of the most charming beaches in the area, perfect for an afternoon’s escape.

Two miles further along the coast, you will find the beautiful seaside village of Aberdaron, on the western tip of the Llyn Peninsula, well worth visiting during your stay. Aberdaron has all the amenities you could need to make your stay comfortable, with two pubs/restaurants, two cafes, a bakery, tea room, ice cream shop, fish and chip shop and a small Spar supermarket.

A little further afield, yet still easily reached within a short drive are Abersoch and Pwllheli, both beautiful seaside towns that are perfect for romantic meals, walks and beach days! Renowned for their blue flag beaches and water sports, these pretty shores are popular among families and couples alike.

The charms and quirks of the Ilyn Peninsula are impossible to resist. This remarkable part of the world is renowned for its beaches and the Welsh language and way of life that still flourishes here. The remarkable mountains of Snowdonia are within a short drive as well, perfect for any budding hikers or to take the train ride up the mountain for those less able to walk.

With so much to do in the area, the only trouble is fitting it all in! There are numerous activities in the area including fishing, horse-riding, golf and Glasfryn Parc where you can enjoy go-karting, ten-pin bowling, archery and much more!
