Bay Tree Cottage is a lovely mid-terrace property nestled in the historic town of Beaumaris on the Isle of Anglesey. Just one street back from the broad sweep of the bay with its stunning views across the Menai Strait towards Eryri (Snowdonia), Bay Tree Cottage is a wonderful base for couples or a family of four looking for their next North Wales getaway. A gate leads you into the small enclosed front garden with a bay tree surrounded by fragrant lavender – the perfect spot for a sundowner on a summer’s evening. On entering Bay Tree Cottage, you will find yourself in a surprisingly spacious sitting room with a comfortable sofa, armchair and footstool. Continue through the cottage into the modern, well-equipped kitchen with attractive Shaker-style units and Belfast sink. At the far end, there is a comfy window seat and dining table and chairs for four people. French doors lead into a small enclosed paved rear courtyard with a garden table and chairs for alfresco meals. Just off the inner hall, there is a well-presented second bedroom with a double bed and windows looking onto the courtyard. Upstairs is the spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed and built-in wardrobe. A modern bathroom with a large walk-in shower completes the cottage. There is free on-street parking and whilst you might not always be able to park directly outside Bay Tree Cottage, there are usually plenty of places to park in the immediate vicinity. Alternatively, visitors can purchase a temporary resident’s pass (£25) which allows parking on Beaumaris Green for seven days. A short stroll from Bay Tree Cottage is the centre of Beaumaris with a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants. Buying fresh bread and pies from Central Bakery, browsing beautiful gifts in the Janet Bell Gallery & Lifestyle Store, enjoying a pint in the Bull before dining in Coach, or eating fantastic fish and chips from Dockshack are just a few of the lovely things to do. Finally, no visit to Beaumaris is complete without visiting the Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour – you’ll be amazed at the array of flavours! You will find plenty to do in Beaumaris and Anglesey. Step back in time with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Beaumaris Castle, followed by a stop at The Old Court House Museum and Beaumaris Gaol. Just a short drive away you will find the popular attractions of the National Trust Plas Newydd House and Garden, Anglesey Sea Zoo and Pili Palas Nature World. Walk sections of the stunning 140-mile Anglesey Coastal Path and visit Anglesey’s amazing beaches such as Lligwy, Newborough and Aberffraw. Or venture onto the mainland into the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park where thrill-seekers can climb Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), experience adventure above and below ground at Zip World Llechwedd or try out surfing at Surf Snowdonia. Your unforgettable North Wales adventure awaits with a stay at Bay Tree Cottage.
