Offering a great base for your exploring, you can delight in the classic decor with touches such as the Belfast sink in the kitchen area, amidst all the necessary appliances you need. Enjoy a quick breakfast at the table, which does open into a full sized dining table, before heading out for the day to take in the historical sights practically on your doorstep, before returning to Millgate Cottage to prepare for an evening out trying the local cuisine. Stairs will lead you up to the first floor which is home to a bright and cheerful twin room, overlooking the Conwy walls. A cloakroom with a basin and WC lies on this floor too, while up on the second floor you can feel refreshed with a shower in the bathroom, while taking in gorgeous views of the greenery beyond the town walls. Step out of the bathroom and straight into the second-floor double bedroom area, and make yourself at home. Down below on the ground floor you can enjoy an evening drink while deciding where to dine in the small rear courtyard, complete with some chairs and a bistro table. Next door to Millgate Cottage is the Conwy Visitor Centre, providing a great starting point for discovering what to see and do in the town. Just a short walk will bring you to the famous Conwy Castle, built between 1283 and 1287, it is wonderfully preserved and offers an insight into medieval military architecture. Take a peek inside the Smallest House in Great Britain on the harbour front, before tucking into some tasty fish and chips as you watch the boats come and go. Some fine-dining favourites to visit during your trip include Watson's Bistro on Chapel Street, family-run with French-inspired cuisine, or try Castle Hotel in the town centre, once an early 19th-century coaching inn, it has both a casual gastro-pub in Dawson's Bar and Snug, or fine-dining in the Shakespeare Restaurant. Head to the town of Llandudno for a walk up the Little and Great Orme, or take a stroll along the Victorian Llandudno Pier to delight in traditional seaside amusements and shops.
