Criccieth is also home to a sweeping beach, where you can gather for a coastal walk, a delicious bag of fish and chips, and to sample to famous Cadwaladers ice cream. Rerouting north, head for Portmeirion, an Italian-style village, brimming with boutique shops and eateries, historical landmarks, and beautiful gardens; within the area you'll also locate Traeth Glaslyn North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, perfect for nature-filled walks and bird watching, closely set near the Snowdonia National Park in the Llŷn Peninsula (AONB).
