Pentraeth 1.5 miles. Resting in the countryside village of Llanbedrgoch is this traditional detached cottage, Plas y Brain. Set over two floors, this spacious old farmhouse is a character setting for a family trip to this stunning part of the Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of some stunning beaches. You are greeted to the property by large surrounding gardens with a great amount of lawn for your children and pets to play, and a patio which boasts furniture and a barbecue so you can enjoy an evening watching the sun go down as you indulge in some tasty food. Enter through the utility where you can leave any coats or sandy shoes, and there is also a handy washing machine and cloakroom with a WC. Moving through into the farmhouse-style kitchen with a sought-after aga, and everything you need to enjoy a self-catering holiday so choose a dedicated chef and gather round the dining table to cheers to an exciting day. The ground-floor also boasts two lovely sitting areas; a sitting room with a feature fire place where you can grab your spot on the sofa to enjoy an evening of television, and a further snug which has two large armchairs to watch your favourite films. Before climbing upstairs, challenge your loved ones to a game of pool or foosball in the adjoining games room. When the evening draws to a close, make your way upstairs where there is a spacious landing boasting four bedrooms, each with a great amount of storage space so guests can unpack and make themselves feel at home. The first double bedroom offers a pretty dressing table so guests can get ready in style, the next king offers gorgeous countryside views and the final king has its own en-suite bathroom which is so beautifully old-fashioned with a dressing table. To complete the property there is also a single room, great for children who want their own space, and a spacious bathroom where guests can soak in a relaxing bath, or wash their sandy feet in the walk-in shower. Take a short drive to the village of Pentraeth, where there is a pub and restaurant on your way, as well as another pub, a Chinese takeaway and a shop in the village, so whether you need to grab essentials for home cooking or fancy a meal out, Pentraeth is a great spot. The popular Red Wharf Bay is nearby and boasts over four miles of sandy beaches which are known for gorgeous sunsets, as well as safe sunbathing, shallow swimming waters, active fishing spots, great birdwatching opportunities and scenic walking trails. In the opposite direction, you can discover the medieval town of Beaumaris which is home to a 13th century castle, a traditional pier, a museum, a Victorian prison, a golf course, and it also offers boat trips for sightseeing or sea fishing. You can also drive over the Britannia Bridge to explore North Wales, including Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) which offers an abundance of walking, cycling and outdoor sporting opportunities. Plas y Brain is wonderfully located for discovering the Welsh coastline whilst being indulged in local nature.
