This unique, ground-floor annex rests alongside the owner’s home overlooking the idyllic River Wye, in the village of Symonds Yat. Boasting glorious, elevated views of the river and surrounding woodland, Paradise Found truly lives up to its name, offering a romantic break for couples. Boasting a striking interior, enter into the sitting room and curl up in front of the electric log burner fire as you reminisce on the day’s events. A small kitchenette offers a combination microwave/ infrared oven and toaster, hot plate and fridge, and together with the outside electric BBQ, you can prepare food when you’re not dining at a local restaurant. The bedroom is sure to catch eyes, presented with bookcases flanking a double bed and similar book-themed throw. Start the morning with a hot shower in the en-suite shower room before heading out to the decked area and sampling those far-reaching rural vistas. On a clear night, head round the corner to find the hot tub and enjoy a soothing soak as you marvel at the starry sky (Hot tub available on request only (situated around the side of the property 15 yards away in a private area)). Within close reach of this Symonds Yat property there are many activities and attractions; walk directly from the property alongside the river or up to the ancient hill fort, cross the river and climb or drive up to the amazing Yat viewing spot, head to the scenic Forest of Dean and see a wide variety of wildlife and high wire rope courses, spot rare butterflies at Wye Valley Butterfly Zoo, and even see the many filming locations of the popular Netflix series’ Sex Education. For a leisurely afternoon, stroll along the River Wye which flows alongside the village before looping through picturesque Herefordshire countryside, test your angling skills with a bit of fishing, canoeing or paddle boarding, or hire a bike and cycle along the old railway track to Monmouth. Further afield, soak up the charming splendour of the region by visiting the riverside towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, offering quintessentially British tea rooms, quirky shops and traditional pubs, or the castles at Chepstow, Raglan and Goodrich and the stunning Tintern Abbey. For a getaway you won’t forget, book your next escape at Paradise Found.
