The Old Bake House is a beautifully appointed, detached cottage tucked away at the foot of the Black Hill on the edge of the Black Mountains and the Welsh border. Full of original character features such as flagstone floors and original oak beams, the cottage - all on one level - is thoughtfully furnished and decorated to provide a comfortable, cosy stay in this stunning part of rural Herefordshire.
The living area is spacious and includes a dining table and chairs and 32 inch Smart TV.
Double doors lead to a fantastic sun room with views across the gardens, two easy chairs and a further set of dining furniture for sunny, summer dining. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, glassware, cookware, cafetiere, kettle, toaster etc, and the adjoining utility room houses a dishwasher, undercounter freezer, microwave oven, washing machine, iron and ironing board. The bedroom is spacious with 2 large windows which overlook the garden. It is carpeted throughout and furnished with a Super King size bed (which can also be configured as 2 single beds on request), a wardrobe, chest of drawers, 2 bedside cabinets and a further shelving unit. The shower room is a generous space with WC, modern glass sink bowl and large shower enclosure. Whether you are in search of a relaxing, restorative retreat or a base from which to explore the region's numerous walks, quaint villages and outdoor activities, The Old Bake House and its beautiful garden overlooking the river will provide the perfect, tranquil setting.
Please noted that the entrance between the living area and sun room is lower than standard height due to the property's age. There is a step up of roughly 6 inches into the shower enclosure. There is a walk of approximately 25 metres' distance from the car parking spot across a lawn to the front door of the cottage.
Located in Hereford, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. The Lion Street Gallery and Tithe Barn are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Battlelands Paintball and Oldfield Forge.
