In the heart of Herefordshire, you are free to roam within the grounds where you will meet the owner s sheep and goats. A network of well waymarked footpaths is ideal for walkers, while winding country lanes enable cyclists to discover neighboring villages and hamlets. You are well placed just a short distance from the market town of Leominster which is renowned for its local antique and curiosity shops, perfect for a relaxing browse, and a short drive leads you to the beautiful cathedral city of Hereford. The thriving medieval market town of Ludlow is within easy reach as well and is a haven for foodies with a regular large local produce market and an abundance of excellent restaurants, some of which are Michelin starred. Ludlow also offers a medieval castle and a host of events and festivals throughout the year. For bookworms, the literary town of Hay on Wye with its world famous annual festival is easily accessible too. You can find many National Trust properties and gardens open seasonally within a 20 minute drive, including Berrington Hall, Brockhampton Estate, and Croft castle. A little further afield, walkers can discover the Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains, and the stunning Elan Valley with its visitors centre. Within a one minute drive, less than 0.5 miles there is The Grove, which houses a ten pin bowling alley, adventure golf, driving range and 2 x 9 hole golf courses and a restaurant. Set within the owner's grounds and surrounded by rich pastures and meadows, you ll start to unwind as you travel up the driveway. The property is tucked to the side of the owner's home, offering a private entrance and friendly welcome from your hosts. Step inside the small porch where there is a place and remove your boots after a day exploring. The porch opens onto the lounge, a spacious though cosy space that has been beautifully finished with local artwork and electric furnishings. A wood burner takes centre stage and is perfect for a chilly autumn evening. For dining, a summer room with views onto the gardens and countryside where you can enjoy a simple supper or morning coffee with the papers.
