Resting in the ancient market town of Hay-on-Wye on the Welsh/English border, is this superb end-terrace cottage, Page-turner's Cottage. Sleeping up to three guests and set close to all the amenities, Page-turner's Cottage is a delightful setting for a couple or small family, as well as a couple of friends to admire the area from the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park). You enter the property into a porch, where you can leave any coats or shoes before stepping into the charming living/dining room, were there is a seating for all guests to enjoy an evening meal around the dining table or to cuddle up on the sofa in front of the television, as the gas fire warms the room. Moving into the kitchen, which has everything you need for a self-catering holiday, you can cook up a storm, prepare a picnic, or take a light breakfast and your morning coffee out into the rear courtyard where there is furniture to enjoy the fresh air. Climbing up the wooden staircase, there is a single bedroom which is a great spot for a bit of privacy, and a shower room so guests can freshen up after a long day, or alternatively get ready in style for their day ahead. To complete the property, there is an immaculate double bedroom with large airy windows, as well as lots of storage space for those guests who slightly over pack. Outside is very peaceful, with pedestrian access only towards the designated parking space for Page-turner's Cottage. Note, that whilst you have access to your own garden space, it sits directly next to the other cottage gardens and is not private. There is a lockable out-house which can be used for bike storage. Page-turner's Cottage is just a stone's throw away from the exciting book shops, antique shops and eateries that Hay-on-Wye has to offer, and the town is a popular destination for book lovers as it is famous for its Hay Festival of Literature as well as boasting a gorgeous castle. Resting on the edge of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) brings ample opportunity for guests to enjoy stunning scenery and activities such as walking, cycling, fishing, birdwatching, canoeing and paddle-boarding. Nearby you can discover the Black Mountains where you will see some outstanding waterfalls, or explore parts of the Offa’s Dyke Patwhich stretch from coast to coast and overall goes through eight different counties. Within driving distance is the cathedral city of Hereford with its library being home to Mappa Mundi, and boasting a medieval bridge and great number of interesting museums and galleries, including a cider museum!
