Perched on the outskirts of Kingsland, Herefordshire, is this wonderful character-filled, Bullfinch Cottage. Enjoying a tranquil location with easy access to the local amenities and surrounding areas, Bullfinch Cottage is a superb pet-friendly choice for couples or a family of four. The property benefits from off-road parking and an outdoor seating area, where you can dine alfresco or just simply soak up your surroundings with a pint of ale or glass of wine to suit; for walkers, a public footpath also starts right from your doorstep. Inside, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen with everything you need to whip up those family favourites, a homely dining space for four and a beautiful sitting area with exposed stonework, snug seating, a Smart 4K TV and a woodburning stove to relax into at the end of your day. Completing the ground floor is a handy cloakroom and small storage cupboard. Upstairs, you can wash away the day's adventures in Bullfinch’s well-appointed shower room, before retiring to one of two beautifully presented bedrooms, a double with en-suite bathroom, and a delightful twin, to curl up with your favourite book or catch up on some rest. The ancient village of Kingsland is just a short drive away where you will find a couple of traditional pubs with the vibrant village of Yarpole also close by which is between Ludlow and Leominster and which is mentioned in the “Domesday Book”, boasts an award-winning community shop and offers some great walks which are rewarded with breath-taking views. Next stop is Leominster, where you can delve into the town's fascinating history at the Leominster Museum, or for a super day out (or two!) why not visit historic Ludlow, home to one of the finest medieval castle ruins in England and more than 500 listed buildings? There are so many fantastic activities for the whole family to enjoy from high wires and paintball to quad trekking and raft building, all available at nearby Oaker Wood Activity Centre. Not far away are the National Trust sites of Croft Castle, a 17th century manor house and Berrington Hall, an 18th century mansion. A little further afield is the Judge's Lodgings in Presteigne, Stokesay Castle, the renowned Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and the Acton Scott Historic Working Farm are also all well worth a visit. Venture into Hereford and you'll discover the Black and White Museum (built in 1621) and Hereford Cathedral - home to the Mappa Mundi (Hereford's famous medieval map used by scholars to interpret the world over 700 years ago) and the captivating, chained library (a collection of rare and ancient books). Set in the former Bulmer's Cider Factory, the Museum of Cider is also worth a visit. For an idyllic escape to Herefordshire, choose Bullfinch Cottage. Note: This cottage can be booked together with Fieldfare Cottage and Redstart Cottage (refs. 1112281 and 1112282), together sleeping up to 13 guests.
