CAMUSMORE HOUSE offers luxury accommodation and is an exclusive self-catering lodge in a quiet clearing in Scotland’s largest ancient scot’s pine woodland.
‘LUXURIOUS AND UNIQUE INTERIOR’
Fully recently refurbished, gently warmed by the central heating, there are soft carpets and oak floors on the ground floor and cosy carpeting upstairs where the bedrooms have superking and king size beds, padded high headboards and crisp white linen.
The inset wood burning stove compliments the local slate hearth.
Furnishings are a unique blend of antique, vintage and contemporary. The oak dining table seats 8. The modern kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer, two fridges- naturally one for cool drinks - also includes the traditional Aga two oven stove, but converted to allow separate control of hotplates and ovens and many kitchen utensils to make your stay easy and luxurious. Or dine al fresco, on the lit terrace, next to the hot tub and enjoy the sunset over the highland cattle and the view to Carn Cearg Mor.
The house lends itself well to all ages, with a superking bed with ensuite shower room on the ground floor, a travel cot, high chair, baby bath and bumble seat. And a large garden and good fresh air to tire little legs.
GENEROUS BEDROOMS
Camusmore House has four individually styled bedrooms, softly lit with two offering the flexibility of superking, kingsize or twin single, one kingsize, with views to either the garden and woodland or across the trees to Cairngorm, Coire Cas and the Faicalle ridge and the fourth with views to the cattle meadow contains bunks. Two bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms with generous showers and a third is immediately next to the house bathroom with shower. There is a separate cloakroom/wc downstairs for guests use. All en-suites and bathrooms have complimentary hand soaps, plus luxury cotton towels, robes and crisp linen throughout.
HOT TUB
From its elevated location, enjoy the view to the highland cattle or Carn Dearg Mor. After a day of mountain or loch exercise there is no better way to relax than soak in the hot tub under the ink black starry sky.
It is pre-programmed to a constant 40 degrees throughout your stay to enjoy at anytime of the day or night.
FUN FOR KIDS
Camusmore House has a large garden perfect for playing and sits centrally in the Rothiemurcus forest, the largest area of native scots pine forest in the UK - birds, mini beasties, deer, reindeer, flowers and fungi - and a playground for all ages and interests.
DRIVEWAY AND GARAGE
The driveway will easily accept 6 cars and the garage with secure bolting eye can store wet outdoor clothing and gear, boots, skis, boards, bikes and motor bikes.
