Or continue on to Dingwall to find more shops and a variety of pubs such as The Mallard or The Caledonian Bars which serve traditional pub fare, ideal for when you need a break from the kitchen. Be sure to stop off at Dingwall Castle, a lone tower in the centre of town before venturing to Castle Leod a stunning 15th century castle which runs public tours through its galleries and historic displays. Continue the historic excursion by heading south the traverse Redcastle and the impressive 14th century Cawdor Castle which has links to Macbeth. Those looking to truly experience the great outdoors can take to the water at the Moray First on paddle boards, kayaks or even try your luck at dolphin spotting on one the many tours run from the city of Inverness.
