Glentruim Lodge is a large comfortable country house nestled at the end of a private track in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park, just 20 minutes from Aviemore. Set amid stunning natural beauty, Glentruim Lodge enjoys spectacular views over the local hills and glens. During your visit to Glentruim Lodge, you are likely to encounter red squirrel and deer wandering the grounds, and you will see a variety of birds of prey, as well as the more numerous Pheasants and Grouse. If you are exceptionally lucky, you may even catch sight of the elusive and highly endangered Scottish Wildcat, which only lives in this area.
Glentruim Lodge is relaxed and unpretentious and is ideal for families with children or larger groups. You can relax around the table in the large convivial kitchen that is always kept warm by the AGA cooker or in one of three large public rooms, including your own cinema room with high-definition projector and access to over 1000 movies and TV box sets. The main lounge includes comfortable seating, TV and wood burning stove. The spectacular sun-room contains comfortable seating and panoramic windows looking out over the grounds. Glentruim Lodge has fast wifi (30Mbps) throughout the house.
Glentruim Lodge is just 200 metres from the river Spey where you can go fishing with a locally bought permit and is the perfect location to experience outdoor sporting activities such as skiing, sailing, hillwalking, climbing, mountain biking.
You will have access to the entire house, except for one small office. Glentruim Lodge comprises the following:

Located in Newtonmore, this vacation home is in a rural area and in the mountains. Highland Folk Museum and Strathspey Steam Railway are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Newtonmore Golf Club and Kingussie Golf Club. Traveling with kids? Consider Highland Wildlife Park and Speyside Wildlife. Rafting and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and ecotours nearby.
