A lovingly converted farm outbuilding perched on the sunny side of Strathglass, with views over the River Beauly. Located a short drive from the picturesque village of Beauly in the Scottish Highlands. With its fantastic elevated position and beautiful rural setting, this cosy, single-storey conversion is the perfect destination for a romantic getaway in the Highlands. Enter the property through the front door into a small corridor area complete with space to store coats and walking boots. On your left is the tastefully decorated open-plan living area, including the kitchen, dining and seating areas. Whip up a tasty feast in the well-appointed kitchen and then relax together in front of the wall-mounted television while being warmed by the log-burner. This room features a pair of French doors that lead out onto a decked area at the front of the property, perfect for taking in the spectacular views while enjoying your morning coffee. Opposite the living area is the peaceful, front-facing master bedroom, wake from a deep sleep and admire the fantastic morning views of Strathglass from the comfort of your king size bed. Next to the bedroom is a modern bathroom boasting a large walk-in shower as well as a heated towel rail. Sat adjacent to the owner’s property, East Craigdhu Cow Byre is located just off the A831, reached by a hard standing track. It is co-located with the Appletree Croft (link to property 1009456) allowing small groups of friends to book separate cottages, should they wish. Guests of the Cow Byre now also have a Scandinavian BBQ hut available to them free of charge. This recent addition is shared with the family and the Croft. It sits on a deck with superb views over the glen. It is fully equipped with all the charcoal and BBQ accessories you might need, including a pizza oven. All you need to do bring your own sausages!. The Cow Byre is just over 6 miles from Beauly, a pretty village equipped with a small supermarket, gift shops, restaurants, butcher, post office and much more. The increasingly popular NC500 route around the north coast of Scotland runs right through Beauly! The Highland Capital of Inverness is also just 16 miles away. The property is surrounded by stunning Highland scenery; located just a stones throw from beautiful glens such as Glen Strathfarrar, Glen Cannich and Glen Affric. A little further afield you'll find Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle, Rosemarkie Beach and Chanonry Point on the Black Isle (one of the best places to see bottlenose dolphins from UK land!), Culloden Battlefield, various distilleries including Glen Ord in the neighbouring town of Muir of Ord, and much much more. As well as endless opportunities for some of the countrys best hill walking, there are also opportunities for paragliding, canoeing, pony-trekking, loch cruises and dolphin-watching boat trips. Ideally located for touring the Highlands, with key locations like Inverness only a half an hour drive away, East Craigdhu Cow Byre is the perfect spot for a secluded romantic getaway.
