Fort William 3.4 miles. Burnside Lodge overlooks the River Lundy situated in the small village of Torlundy, just north of Fort William. Enjoying mountain views and private decking with barbecue and sauna, Burnside Lodge is an attractive log cabin, welcoming family, friends, and couples for a delightful stay in the Western Highlands. After a day of fell walking, collapse on the L-shaped corner sofa beside the woodburning stove, flicking on the TV in search for a favourite film. Cross the threshold to the kitchen, where you can perch at the breakfast bar and keep the designated chef company as they whip up a feast; there’s an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and even a washer/dryer on hand. Follow the wooden floors to the bedrooms, the master providing a king-size bed with en-suite shower room, whilst the attractive twin can be arranged as a king-size on request. The excellence of this property continues outside, where the enclosed decking with furniture and barbecue provides a lovely setup for alfresco dining, whilst the purpose-built private, Finnish sauna is where you can work up a sweat and feel refreshed. Torlundy is a great holiday location being just a short drive into the vibrant town of Fort William with its excellent range of facilities, including a distillery! The local area is a haven for walkers and cyclists with several excellent routes throughout the local area, and, of course the impressive Nevis Range is nearby and offers stunning scenery and plenty of hikes. Catch boat trips on Loch Linnhe, visit the excellent museum in Fort William or head to the Snowgoose Mountain Centre for adventure days, including activity breaks, instruction courses and private guiding. All this and more awaits at Burnside Lodge.
