A visit to Solus Na Madainn is the perfect way to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its traditional stone cottage situated in the heart of the Royal Burgh of Tain, this pretty renovated cottage has been in the same family for generations. Having been lovingly restored using a Scottish theme, whilst keeping many original features, Solus Na Madainn is a true gem for those who want to experience life in a quintessential Scottish village.

On the ground floor: The lounge offers guests comfortable seating for up to 4 guests, TV and a wood-burning stove. The dining room has a dining table and chairs seating 4 guests. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, hob, fridge/ freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and ample pots, pans and kitchenware. The windows overlook the gardens. The shower room has a shower cubicle, wash basin and toilet.
The original wooden staircase takes guests to the first floor: The master bedroom benefits from a king-size bed, bedside cabinets with reading lamps and a wardrobe. The twin room is furnished with two single beds, bedside cabinets with lamps and a wardrobe.'
Outside of the property has a fully enclosed mature garden. Lawn, mature trees and shrubs, flower borders. Outdoor dining table and chairs. Wi-fi is free and an initial supply of logs for a wood-burning stove is provided. On-street parking is free of charge outside the property. Please note this is on a first come first serve basis.
This beautiful cottage is situated in Tain, a historic town in Highland Ross-shire that has an excellent selection of local shops, bars and restaurants. There are a variety of sporting and recreational facilities nearby—including an 18 hole links golf course, tennis courts and of course a superb sandy beach. There are lovely walks all along the coastline and the surrounding woods and trails. The cottage is on the renowned North Coast 500 route. It passes through some of the most spectacular scenery to be found anywhere in Britain. Tain is also home to the famous Glenmorangie Distillery, which offers tours to visitors throughout the year. There are numerous places of interest close by.
