Cosy detached croft cottage located near the main town of Portree, it can sleep up to five people in 3 bedrooms (double, twin and single).
It's set in a large enclosed garden with lawned garden to the front. There is ample parking and is surrounded by crofting lands and mountain views. Inside there is a refurbished kitchen which is fully equipped and a family bathroom with electric shower. The lounge, dining room and bedrooms all have views across the croft and to the Cullin mountain range in the distance. The cottage also benefits from WiFi.
Amenities: Oil central heating, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer. Freeview TV, Netflix ,DVD player, WIFI, selection of books and games and DVDs. Bed-linen and towels included as well as highchair and cot. Ample off-road parking and private garden with furniture. The property fully complies with the current Scottish Government's Fire Regulations Sorry no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 6.5 miles.
The cottage is ideally placed in the heart of Skye on the spectacular Trotternish peninsula which contains two of Skye's most famous landmarks: the Old Man of Storr, an isolated rocky pinnacle, and the Quiraing, an area of dramatic and unusual rock formations. The peninsula also includes locations to see Dinosaur footprints (An Corran), the Skye Museum of Island life as well as the graves of Flora MacDonald and Alexander McQueen. It is only 8 miles to the ferry port of Uig which is the gateway to the Outer Hebrides and only a short drive (6.5 miles) to the main town of Portree where you will find a good selection of shops, a large supermarket and restaurants to suit all tastes. Its central location makes it wonderful place to be based to visit and explore the stunning island which was recently voted "most desirable place to live' in Britain
Please note that the check in day is always a Saturday. Guests are welcome to have six nights in that week but they must not overlap into a second week. Arrival time for guests is after 4 p m and they must vacate the cottage by 10.00 am on the day of their departure. Please note that the remaining balance of monies due must be paid 28days before arrival at the cottage
