Town: Strathpeffer is often compared to a Bavarian Mountain resort, and owes its growth to the discovery of water springs during the 1700s. This is a popular base for walkers, with Ben Wyvis within striking distance and the Iron Age hill fort of Knock Farril offering views not to be missed!

Strathpeffer Pump Room and Highland Museum of Childhood are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Castle Leod and Glen Ord Distillery.
