Town: Dingwall is a charming market town with a long history that dates to Norse times. It is located at the head of the Cromarty Firth. The town now has a fantastic selection of services and amenities, and its pedestrianised main street is home to a wide variety of specialty cafes and quaint little stores. Why not take a short, 1-1/2 hour walk along the Dingwall Heritage Trail, which will provide you a wealth of knowledge about the past of this region? The Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer, which is adjacent to Dingwall, is well worth a visit. You can also take a short drive to Chanonry Point to view the Moray Firth Dolphins jump close to shore very frequently. As well as being close to Inverness, where day visits to the trampoline park, Inverness Castle, and the numerous shops are possible, there is the possibility of viewing red kites at the RSPB Tollie red kites’ natural reserve.
