Balorrin is situated in the quiet hamlet of Aultgowrie, a picturesque location with beautiful views over high hills and open countryside. The Gen Ord Distillery Visitor Centre is 3 miles away.The enclosed garden offers guests a patio area, garden furniture and small BBQ.
The open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge is very light with large windows and a patio door leading to the back garden where guests can relax on the garden furniture. There is a wood burning stove, Sky TV, DVD, CD player, radio, Wi-Fi, books, games, and puzzles. There is seating for 7 around the dining table. The new modern kitchen (all electric) is very well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, kitchen utensils, pots and pans. The Master Bedroom is furnished with a king size bed with en-suite bathroom (shower over bath and WC) bedside cabinets with lights and a mirror. The Twin Bedroom has two single beds, mirror and 2 bedside cabinets with lights. The Second Twin Bedroom is equipped with two single beds, table dresser, wardrobe and bedside cabinet with lights. The single bedroom has a single bed, bedside cabinets with lights. Family Bathroom: Bath, WC and separate shower. Other bathrooms: Bath with overhead shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Hairdryer provided. There are curtains and blackout blinds in all the bedrooms. The house has central heating throughout.
Guests have access to the entire property. Prior to your arrival, we will email guests a contact number for the property owner or local housekeeper for your use should you require any assistance during your stay. The river Orrin is nearby and the spectacular waterfall is within easy walking distance. There is plenty of surrounding wildlife, red squirrels and pine martens frequent the garden and the bird feeders provide great entertainment. The small village of Beauly is accessible with a 15-minute drive and is 6.3 miles away. Beauly & Muir of Ord have several shops, cafes, bakers and restaurants. Dingwall is approx. 15 minutes away with supermarkets, butchers, bank, cafes, bars and restaurants. Glen Ord Distillery Visitor Centre is 3.1 miles away and can be accessed within a 6-minute drive from Balorrin. Muir of Ord Golf Club is 4.2 miles away and can be reached within a 12-minute drive from Balorrin. A car is recommended. No smoking. No parties or events. Check-in time is 4 PM - 10 PM. Check out time is 10 am. Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave, we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay. All bed linen, towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person), electricity, heating and Wi-Fi are included in the price. A starter pack of supplies: includes toilet rolls, complimentary sachets of coffee, sugar, teabags.
This vacation home is located in Muir of Ord.
