Set out on foot or bicycle to follow one of the many paths and trails that lie close to the farm, following the River Yar to the village of Godshill or heading towards the Downs. The nearby village of Arreton boasts arts and crafts studios, a farm shop and two popular pubs for enjoying delicious locally sourced meals at the end of a long walk. The sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor are all within a short drive, as is the market town of Newport with its medieval castle of Carisbrooke. With exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and hardwood flooring, this cottage is brimming with original charm. The front door opens into a fantastic, spacious lounge/diner. With a high vaulted beamed ceiling, French doors opening onto the garden, wooden floorboards and ample natural light, this is a stunning room for entertaining. Furnished with comfortable sofas, a cosy rug and TV/DVD, you will have everything you need for a cosy night in all year round. The kitchen is compact yet well equipped with everything you should need throughout your stay including electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer. Also, on the ground floor is a pretty twin bedroom and separate bathroom with built in shower and WC. From the lounge, an exposed staircase ascends up to a delightful galleried landing, leading to a light and airy double bedroom with en suite bathroom and fantastic rural views towards the Downs. Outside, there is a sunny south facing courtyard garden with furniture for enjoying al fresco meals. Guests also have access to a large enclosed shared garden, which is perfect for lawn games with family. Up to 2 cars can be parked beside the cottage.
