Sunset Beach is a lovely newly renovated holiday home situated in the beautiful coastal area of Colwell Bay in the village of Freshwater, West Wight, on the Isle of Wight renowned for its beautiful sunsets. This newly renovated property sleeps six, and is a stone’s throw away from the beach, water sports (summer season) and countless other amenities making it a perfect base for families and friends seeking a sunny, coastal escape. Why not pack up a picnic and head to the beach at the end of the road, just a 2 mins walk, there is a beach shop, Captain’s Cabin Cafe and restaurant called Long beach Bar or head to ‘The Hut’ for something more special (summer season). Sunset Beach is a great place to unwind, with a south facing garden, it's a great place to have lunch on the patio, with ample lawn space for the children to run around afterwards. The 3 bedrooms are roomy, with a double bed with toilet and basin and a king size bed upstairs and a twin room downstairs perfect for the children or those who have difficulty manoeuvring the stairs. Sunset Beach is located perfectly to watch the sun set over the sea from the master bedroom or from the conservatory, or just pop down to the end of the road to have some quiet time by the sea. For children, grab your bucket and spade and head to the beach to build sandcastles or take a net and go rock pooling, check the tides. The local village of Freshwater offers a range of local shops, pharmacy, supermarket, petrol station and an indoor swimming pool. West wight is a haven for dining, head to The Waterfront Bar & Restaurant, serving delicious family cuisine with stunning bay views, the best place to watch the sunset, (booking essential). The famous 'Hut' is 5 mins walk where you can party whilst you eat, it is upmarket, and booking is essential. The Red Lion pub with its stylish rustic décor, serving local food and is about a 40 min walk or 10 min drive (booking essential). You must take the coastal walk into Yarmouth harbour or catch the No 7 bus at the end of the road, to watch the sailing fraternity and grab a nice lunch or dinner in one of the pubs and restaurants. Visit The Boat House on the way for refreshments. The Island has so many activities for adults and children and everywhere is accessible, check out our welcome book for all information. Childrens Activities: Tapnell Farm Park, great day out for children, Hurst Castle, Yarmouth Castle, Carisbrooke Castle, IOW Zoo or Monkey Haven, Sandown and Shanklin beach, great for building sandcastles, IOW Steam Railway, or hire a boat or rib for the day, or take the bus or drive to The Needles Landmark Attraction with its chairlift from the beach to the lighthouse, offering sweeping views.  There is a cafe and amusements for young ones. Adult Activities: Visit the Victorian coastal area of Ventnor and Botanical Gardens, Bembridge, Seaview or St Helens coast, go Shopping in Cowes, some fab local shops, Osborne House, Queen Victoria's holiday home or visit the Mermaid Gin Distillery or Garlic Farm. Sunset Beach is well located for walks, the most famous one is to Tennyson Down, it also has amazing cycling routes, perfect for those keen road cyclists, and great location to the beach, it guarantees a fun-filled holiday on the Isle of Wight.
