Tennyson Down House is a beautiful four bedroom Victorian detached holiday home located 500 yards from the tranquil Freshwater Bay and within walking distance of cafes, restaurant and grocers. Arriving at Tennyson Down House, you will enter via double gates on to the driveway, through the front door you are welcomed in to the bright and airy hallway with new oak flooring throughout the downstairs. It leads to the living room with an open fireplace, Smart TV, sofas and French doors on to the front garden. Also on the ground floor is the large open-plan kitchen/dining room with a breakfast bar. The stunning fitted kitchen comes with electric oven, induction hob and fridge/freezer, opening on to the breakfast bar where you can enjoy a morning coffee or breakfast. The dining area, with large oak refectory table, offers a bright feel with French doors opening on to the garden. Also on the ground floor is a large spacious utility room with a door leading on to a courtyard where you can find an outdoor shower which is perfect to wash the sand off after a day on the beach, in the utility room there is a washing machine, tumble dryer and second fridge/freezer. There is also a shower room located on the ground floor.
On the first floor is the master bedroom with a double bed and a beautiful en-suite with a roll top bath with shower attachment. Bedroom two has a double bed and en-suite with a shower cubicle, bedroom three offers three single beds and bedroom four is a single. Both the master bedroom and second bedroom offer views of the sea across the bay. There is also a family bathroom with bath and shower attachment. The garden is located at the front of the property and is mainly laid to lawn with garden furniture and picnic table. The house is a few yards from open National Trust downland, 2½ miles from the world famous Needles attraction, one of many places to visit during your trip. The Bay itself is perfect for swimming, playing on the beach and offers some water sports. Golf is available at Freshwater Bay Golf Club ¾ mile away, offering fantastic views across the bay. For walkers and cyclists you can use the local paths, long distance trails and sea path, or even complete the whole island which is just under 70 miles around. The location of the property offers many different activities or just relax. Travel via ferry from Lymington, Southampton or Portsmouth, Yarmouth is the nearest ferry car and foot passenger terminal which is 3 miles to the property.
