Vernon House is a superb mid terraced four-story Georgian town house in old Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Stunning original features throughout, spacious, light, and perfect for 6 adult guests and 2 children but able to cater for up to 10 guests by request. 5 incredible bedrooms offering plenty of room for all, with gorgeous Solent views from the rear bedrooms. The dining area offers a fabulous table able to sit 10 guests comfortably. On the lower ground floor there is a snug sitting room with smart TV and a roomy study, just great for working from home or revision homework.

Outside there is an enclosed rear garden with table, chairs and bbq. Situated between the centre of Cowes with its fabulous choices of shops, restaurants, yacht clubs and café, and the glorious Northwood Park, and only a 5 minutes’ walk from the Cowes Red Jet terminal with regular services from Southampton and beyond, making Vernon House an easily accessible holiday home from home.

Accommodation: Five-bedroom house set over four floors:
First Floor: Two bedrooms: 1 x super king double bedroom with freeview TV, balcony, superb views of the Solent and an en-suite bathroom, with roll top bath and wet room style shower (jack & jill) and heated floor, 1 x double bedroom with door into the dressing room and Freeview TV.
Second floor: Three bedrooms: 2 x double bedrooms both with Freeview TV’s, 1 x Twin bedroom with Freeview TV. Family bathroom with roll top bath and shower over the bath and heated floor.
Ground Floor: Kitchen with breakfast bar and 5 stools, door onto the balcony overlooking the rear garden, Spacious dining room with dining for 10, and sitting area for 3. Macerator WC (liquid only).
Lower Ground Floor: Snug sitting room with corner sofa, a couple of bean bags and smart TV, study with natural light and a desk, utility room and door into the rear garden.
Outside: dining table and chairs for 8, bbq. Coach Room: Next to the front door is the entrance to the coach room which is perfect for all your wet weather gear.

House Rules:
Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am.
This a no-smoking property.
No pets allowed.
Total number of occupants will not exceed the quoted number unless agreed.
All trash and perishables must be disposed of and dishes washed before departure.
- Strictly no parties
- Electric heater in snug needs turning off when not in use
- Wet/ muddy clothes, shoes, wetsuits etc need to be hung up in the coach house and the door needs to be locked each time
- No sitting on furniture with muddy/ wet clothes especially cream dining room chairs/ sofas/ beds
- Preferably no smoking - NO cigarettes on the fake grass on the balcony/ in the garden, and always put in an ash tray
- No sharp/ hot objects that will damage fake grass
- Cushions in/ furniture covers on if raining
- All doors/ windows locked when guests go out
- Liquid/ loo roll only in ground floor loo
- Use coasters/ place mats on wooden surfaces
- The silver bin on the balcony of the kitchen is for recycling, and the bin in the kitchen is for general waste, compost bin for food waste
- Bin day is Thursday AM, and is alternate weeks for black/ green bins
- Need to be careful when shutting/ locking doors as it's such an old house, especially the door onto the balcony in the kitchen

Note: Street permit parking for one car – please contact me before your arrival with your car registration number so I can process your parking permit. Alternative parking: There is a long-term car park just a couple of minutes’ walk from Vernon House. Note: Please enquire about the discounted Passenger and Car Ferry Tickets.

Cowes is famous for professional sailing and especially the Cowes Week Regatta and Round the Island yacht race. As well as having some stunning Victorian architecture Cowes offers some delightful boutique and specialist nautical shops, vibrant pubs, café's and restaurants. Enjoy a walk from your Vernon House along Cowes seafront, passing the Royal Yacht Squadron along Egypt Esplanade all the way to Gurnard while watching some spectacular yachting activity. This can be extremely exciting during one of the many yachting regattas that Cowes hosts. If you're experienced and the Solent call’s, there are many rib and yacht hire charter companies, or if you’re a beginner the UKSA is a perfect place to start your yachting career.

This villa is located in Cowes. Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Southampton Cruise Terminal and Royal London Yacht Club. Isle of Wight Steam Railway and Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary are also worth visiting.
