The surrounding area is perfect for walking, with footpaths leading to the nearby village of Godshill where local pubs serve food and ales. Guests are free to explore the farm's fields and lake, with a grassy area near the water ideal for a BBQ. A farm nature trail offers the chance to spot wildlife such as herons, geese, pheasants, chickens, and even a rare breed bagot goat.

The cottage itself is full of character, with flagstone floors, a large inglenook fireplace, and a pretty galleried landing. The open plan lounge/diner features comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, and a dining table for four.
