A large Georgian Ramsgate holiday home overlooking the marina and pretty Royal Harbour, with views of France on a clear day. Ideal for an extended family looking for a holiday on the coast or golfers wanting to be closer to the now bustling bar and restaurant scene in Ramsgate.
The beautiful entrance hall leads into a light, spacious home with sweeping staircases spread over 4 floors, where the grandeur of its Georgian character meets the comfort of its contemporary design.
Each floor has been lovingly restored, with the ground floor offering a games room with pool table and Sky TV, and a boot room at the rear, where you’ll find plenty of space for storing watersports and golfing equipment, along with a drying area for any furry guests.
In the tradition of the Georgian style, the property’s living accommodation enjoys stunning views from the first floor, and French doors to a delightful south facing balcony on which to enjoy a coffee and croissant in the morning or gin and tonic in the evening bathed in sun.
A beautiful and historic Ramsgate town house, offering a very special holiday overlooking the sea.
Breathe in the fresh sea air, and on crisp evenings enjoy a brisk walk along the beach. Exhausted after a day out with the kids, then enjoy a glass of wine by the open fire.
The modern kitchen, and its adjoining dining area allows everyone to gather and reflect upon the adventures of the day over dinner or plan the day ahead.
With six bedrooms and four bathrooms, including the large ensuite master bedroom with king-size double, also blessed with magnificent views out to sea, there’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a wonderful holiday.
To ensure you enjoy your stay in our wonderful home we have provided the extra luxuries to make your stay special. The bedlinen and towels are White Company, toiletries are provided in the bathrooms and handbasins, and a welcome pack including some basic essentials means you will not have to rush out for milk as soon as you arrive.
Ramsgate is steeped in a rich colourful history, the Vikings having first landed nearby in AD 449. It remained however a sleepy fishing village until 1749 with the construction of the Harbour to protect the British Naval fleet. Our house was built in 1801 just before the outbreak of the Napoleonic Wars in 1803 and the heroics of Lord Nelson after which our street was named.
Spend your days enjoying one of England’s best beaches just a short walk from the house, or cycling the scenic Viking Coastal trails. Alternatively take a boat trip out to Goodwin Sands or the Stour Estuary and visit the seals or perhaps play tennis on one of three tennis courts in Spencer Square (free of charge) once the home of Vincent Van Gogh.
Browse the fashionable new shops just around the corner in Addington Street whilst for sustenance enjoy the neighbouring cafés, enjoying sea views and boats coming and going from the busy marina. In the evening go next door to The Empire Room, one of the many new exciting restaurant destinations in Ramsgate.
Located in Ramsgate, this vacation home is near theme parks and on the waterfront. Pegwell Bay Country Park and Sandwich and Pegwell Bay National Nature Reserve reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include The Pinball Parlour and Broadstairs Leisure. Traveling with kids? Consider Dreamland and The Droit House. Fishing and swimming offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cave exploring and horse riding nearby.
