When you’re ready to explore, you won’t have to go far to find a collection of pubs, restaurants and cafés to suit all tastes and budgets. There are plenty of attractions worth visiting, including the Sandwich Guildhall Museum, the White Mill Rural Heritage Museum and the Gazen Salts Nature Reserve, all must-visit spots whilst you’re in the area. Just north of the town lies Richborough Fort, one of the most symbolically-important of all the Roman sites in Britain, holding unique Roman artefacts and the remains of an amphitheatre. Head out on a ramble or bike ride through Kent Downs, offering stunning scenery and some of the finest views in the county, whilst Dover is nearby, with the picturesque White Cliffs provide a memorable adventure.
