Nestled in the heart of Whitstable, Kent is this delightful cottage, Fishermans Cottage. Hosting three bedrooms and just a stone's throw away from the bustling harbour, this property makes for a perfect seaside escape for all the family. Park up in the off-road parking at the rear of the cottage, with enough space for two cars, and step inside the inviting abode. The sitting room has homely décor, two plush sofas, adding extra comfort, whilst you gather for a film night or a glass of wine after dinner. Seating six guests, the neighbouring dining room has classic cottage features including an original feature fireplace, wooden floors and white-washed walls, where you can host a dinner party or plan the day ahead over a class English breakfast. You'll find excellent amenities in the kitchen including an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge with ice box, as well as a handy washer and tumble dryer, so you can pack light and quickly clean beach-worn clothes and towels. Completing the ground is a minimal bathroom where the heated towel rail will warm your towel whilst you take a relaxing bubble bath or a hot shower before exploring Whitstable's nightlife. Three beautiful bedrooms rest upstairs with plenty of storage space to unpack your belongings; a spacious double and a twin, which leads through to another double, are all snug settings to climb under the sheets and rest up ready for tomorrow's adventures. Outside there is a sheltered spot to savour your morning coffee at the outdoor seating, before taking a short walk into the vibrant centre of Whitstable. Restaurants, bars and quaint little shops are all within easy reach to stock up the cupboards or head out for an evening meal to taste the local cuisine. Stroll along the picturesque harbour to find arts and crafts markets, as well as a popular seafood restaurant, before heading to Whitstable beach where plenty of cafés are scattered along the seafront. Jump in the car and head east to Herne Bay, another fantastic seaside town with a long pier dotted with intriguing huts hosting independent shops, crafts and entertainments, whilst the iconic waterfront clock tower and Seaside Museum present local history, art and fossils. Journey south further inland to the beautiful city of Canterbury with its winding cobbled streets, a majestic cathedral bursting with history, or catch a show at the popular Marlowe Theatre before heading to a traditional pub. Margate is a vibrant town resting on the coast a little further east; pack a picnic and head to the sandy beach, wander through the old town packed with fascinating architecture and vintage shops, and be charmed by local history in the Margate Caves and Shell Grotto, a mysterious, Grade I-listed passageway discovered in 1835, covered in beautiful mosaics made entirely of seashells. Fishermans Cottage is brimming with character for a lovely stay along the Kent coast, where there's something for every guest to enjoy.
