Whitstable is a delightful seaside town with medieval history of the famous low level marsh area known as The Salts, offers plenty of activities for both families and couples alike. The town has a wealth of independent shops and a fine selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Enjoy the beach and coastal walks as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. Whitstable is famous for its oysters which are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival. Why not hire a bike and go for a ride along the seafront, or follow the Crab and Winkle Way or ride along the coast of Herne Bay. Nearby is the city of Canterbury, famous for it's Cathedral and also from where the local sea salt was transported for export by sea. Enter the property into a small hallway where there is space for dropping off shoes and coats. The cosy lounge has two comfy sofas, and an armchair for relaxing, wood burner, TV and DVD. The hallway leads into an open plan kitchen/diner where there is a table and six chairs for family entertaining. The well equipped, bespoke, handmade kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob , fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, washing machine and a breakfast bar and two stools, perfect for a morning coffee, a door leads from the kitchen out into the garden. There is a bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Two steep, narrow wooden staircases connect the ground, first and second floors, adding to the property's charm. Stairs leading from the hall take you up to the first floor where there are two double bedrooms. A further set of stairs takes you up to large twin bedroom with TV and a selection of children's toys. A door from the kitchen leads out into a fully enclosed garden with a large lawn complete with children's swing ball, and a patio with table and chairs seating six and a charcoal BBQ. There is unrestricted roadside parking nearby.
