Idyllically positioned on the cliff top of Beresford Gap in the coastal village of Birchington-on-Sea, in the northeast of Kent, rests this remarkable holiday home, 17 St. Magnus Close. Sleeping up to eight guests in four well-presented bedrooms and framing unspoilt views across the scenic waters of the North Sea, 17 St. Magnus Close adds a touch of luxury to your next seaside retreat. Park up on your private driveway before unloading your belongings and making your way alongside the well-kept front garden and over the threshold to begin your staycation. Stepping inside, be charmed by the contemporary décor of the open-plan living/dining area, stylishly laid out with a sumptuous corner sofa alongside a rustic wooden dining table with seating for eight, where you can look forward to tucking-in to a delicious meal before gathering together for a movie marathon, gently warming your toes with the glow of the woodburning stove. The designated chef will be delighted by the spacious kitchen tucked away at the rear of the property, well-equipped with a variety of helpful amenities to ensure an enjoyable staycation, including a gas range cooker to help prepare heart-warming meals as well as a handy washing machine to clean off any sandy holiday attire. In the summer months, throw open the patio doors and head outside for a sociable seat on the patio, backed by the scenic views across the stunning coastline, as well as the glorious sunset. As the evening draws to a close, head back indoors to retire to one of the four well-presented bedrooms, with the first of which nestled alongside a handy cloakroom on the ground-floor for your convenience, ideal for guests with limited mobility. Climbing the stairs to the first floor you'll discover the master bedroom, home to a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, where you can look forward to an indulgent soak amongst the bubbles in the luxurious bath, alongside a double and a twin, both framing marvellous views across the North Sea. Enjoy a leisurely wake-up before making your way into the conservatory where you can indulge in a steaming cup of coffee as you watch the sun rise across the horizon. Pack your bucket and spade and take advantage of the steps that lead down from the property to the beach, where you can enjoy combing the shores, basking in the sun and sand, or trying your hand at sailing or windsurfing. After working up an appetite, head into the centre of Birchington-on-Sea where you'll discover a fantastic selection of delicious eateries to choose from; indulge in seaside tradition and savour fresh fish and chips with a walk along the promenade, treat yourself to a slice of cake at one of the quaint cafes, or head to The Wheel Alehouse for a crisp pint. The beautiful sandy bay of Minnis Bay is also an excellent spot for a walk along a beach with wonderful views, as well as a host of delicious eateries to tryout whilst here. Lace up your walking boots and embark on an adventure along the coastal path to the nearby town of Margate, where you can expect thrills aboard the fairground rides at Dreamland, immerse yourself in local history with a tour of Margate Museum, or explore the unexplained tunnel network of Shell Grotto, decorated with shells and a mosaic chamber. Catch the train and head to Ramsgate, where you can watch the world go by as the boats sail in at the Royal Ramsgate Marina, or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautifully-maintained grounds of King George VI Memorial Park, boasting far-reaching coastal views and a quirky café positioned within a greenhouse. The cathedral city of Canterbury is within easy reach, once occupied by the Romans and steeped in fascinating history, here you can tour the exhibitions on display in the subterranean museum, discover the 6th century ruins of St Augustine's Abbey, or marvel at the Norman-era architecture of Canterbury Cathedral. If that's not your thing, head to The Marlowe Theatre to catch a live performance, test your swing with a round of golf at the picturesque 18-hole course, or get dressed to the nines and enjoy a night on the town. Discover the delights of this sought-after region with a stay at 17 St. Magnus Close.
