For days out while at the cottage, why not head to Herne Bay Pier for a fun-filled day on the rides and in the amusement centre. Herne Bay is also home to The Seaside Museum, so you can brush up on your local history while admiring the quirky local art. Heading in the opposite direction from the cottage, happen upon the charming resort of Whitstable to explore their Harbour Market, an eclectic strip of quaint seaside stalls offering an array of local and unique arts and crafts. While you are in the area, history buffs may enjoy an afternoon at the Whitstable Community Museum & Gallery, but if that is not to your taste, you can always spend your afternoon sunbathing on the pretty beach with an ice cream in hand. Further afield, a scenic car journey will take you to the Blean Woods Nature Reserve, so you can get your walking boots on or bring your bicycle along for an adventurous day of exploring the dense and picturesque woodland.
