Another sitting room which boasts regal décor throughout can also be found nearby and is perfect for an evening tipple in front of the fire! Alternatively, if you're after a superb space for a movie night, Fence House offers a sumptuous cinema room, with ample seating for all the family to lounge on whilst you watch a film on the large, flatscreen TV! If you're looking for a moment of peace and quiet, be sure to head upstairs to the landing's reading nook and curl up with a book from the selection provided. When you're feeling peckish, progress to the marvellously fitted kitchen/diner, an impressive spot featuring all the chef of the group needs to make delicious dinners, including an electric AGA and sleek, granite worktops. Once a tasty meal has been made, it can be enjoyed in one of the many dining areas within the property, with one being a four-seater within the kitchen/diner, another being a formal dining room seating up to ten people, and the other being the neighbouring conservatory which enjoys a refectory table and hosts sofas for you to retire to whilst enjoying those panoramic views. The utility isn't far and hosts your laundry facilities, whilst also doubling up as a great area to store your walking gear. Concluding the ground floor's facilities is a handy cloakroom, ideal for preventing those morning queues. Head upstairs to find seven inviting bedrooms, with two consisting of spacious, master doubles which enjoy access to impressive en-suite bathrooms and ample storage. Two more doubles can be found close by, both of which enjoy beautiful décor throughout, along with a double bunk room that is perfect for kids, and a single. A family bathroom can be found nearby and will leave you feeling spoilt for choice in the morning, thanks to its fantastic bath and separate walk-in shower. To the rear of the property is a luscious and enclosed lawn, where the kids can enjoy ball games and your furry friends can stretch their legs while you enjoy a soothing dip in the log-fired hot tub. Get acquainted with your surroundings and embark on a short walk into Fence, where the impeccable restaurants of Forest and The Fence Gate await, along with a well-stocked village store! Steeped in centuries-old heritage and legendary folklore, Lancashire offers many attractions to suit your interests and there are some fantastic locations to choose from. Discover some of Lancashire's legends; from majestic manor houses set in relaxing gardens to original textile museums transporting you back to a time when cotton was king! Take a trip to the top of Pendle hill and take in the spectacular countryside and spellbinding story of the "Pendle Witches", the most famous witches in the land. Close by is Whalley Abbey, whose 'monks' will give visitors an insight into how their predecessors used to live and work, whilst Clitheroe is also well worth a visit with its recently revamped museum and fine castle. Further days out include trips to the National Trust’s best kept secret, Gawthorpe Hall, a striking Elizabethan mansion with a rich history or pop on your walking boots and follow the scenic Stream & Steam Trail through the heritage of Barnoldswick. For shopping and sightseeing, there are nearby market towns such as Clitheroe which has a wide range of independent shops, restaurants and pubs as well as a cinema and equally historic Colne which also has the famous Boundary Mill Store, the place for some retail therapy.
