The history of the property can be traced back to its construction by monks in the 13th century, it is reputedly the oldest habitable building in Upper Wharfdale. Now lovingly renovated to provide beautiful holiday accommodation, the ground floor is set out in an open-plan layout, a great way to enjoy the company of your loved one while you wind down in your own way. Light the woodburning stove, which rests in the inglenook fireplace on a cold evening and relax on the sofa, while your partner begins to prepare the evening meal for a quiet and romantic night in, surrounded by a host of original features including exposed beams, stone flooring and stone walls. Centrally located in this beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there are superb walks from the doorstep, including a short walk along the river to Linton Falls and the ever popular Grassington with its wide range of shops, pubs and art galleries, as well as the Dickensian Festival, which delights visitors with its traditional Christmas market and entertainment.
