Gargrave is a pretty village which offers a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from, perfect if you fancy a night off cooking. It also serves as an excellent base for those wanting to access North Yorkshire as the character towns of Skipton and Settle are nearby with their picturesque architecture and range of activities. Coniston Lake is nearby and provides an idyllic circular walk, or why not hire a kayak or paddleboard and take to the water yourself? Alternatively, take off a hike through the Yorkshire Dales or hop on board the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, settling back in beautifully restored Victorian carriages as you listen to the huffing and puffing of the steam engine. 6 Lock View is a comforting and beautiful cottage enjoying a convenient location in Yorkshire.
