Dating back to 1886 is the wonderfully unique Grove Cottage, which can be found a mere 5-minute walk from Blackpool’s main promenade. Detached, and deceptively spacious on the ground floor there’s a large and sociable open plan kitchen, dining and living space, plus a separate living area with double sofa bed. Upstairs there’s two good sized bedrooms both with en-suite facilities, giving enough washing space for everyone.
Located just across from Blackpool FC’s Bloomfield Road Stadium, permit parking is included for one car and ample shops, pubs, restaurants and eateries are available locally. This includes ‘The Corner Flag’ which is located at Bloomfield Road Stadium, where whilst dining you get to look out over the playing surface whilst having Blackpool Tower as a backdrop! For anyone looking for some pampering the stadium also has an on-site spa which you can book into (charges apply).
Blackpool’s main promenade stretches for around 6 miles and is home to a plethora of attractions including Madame Tussauds, the Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Tower and Sea Life to name but a few. All of these can be reached in around a 15-20 minute walk, or you can pick up the tramway at St Chads Road and ride in style. If you follow the coastline round by car, you’ll reach the picturesque neighbouring seaside towns of Lytham and St Annes-on-Sea which is an area internationally renowned for golf, rolling sandy dunes and the 250,000 migrating birds that return each winter. In the other direction the Blackpool Tram will take you to quaint Thornton Cleveleys and Fleetwood where for some retail therapy you can visit the Affinity Outlet. Finally for a change of scenery and a greener landscape the Forest of Bowland area of outstanding natural beauty, Ribble Valley, Pendle Hill and Lake District National Park can all be reached in around an hour.
