PLEASE NOTE THAT HIGH ENERGY CHARGES ETC. HAVE MEANT WE HAD TO INCREASE OUR NIGHTLY RATES FROM AUTUMN 2022. Thank you for your understanding.
My little cottage is 200 years old and would have once been the gardeners cottage, although sadly no garden but there is a south facing sunny terrace in the front to sit out. It is therefore full of character but quite SMALL with low doors and oak beamed ceilings. It is one of the original '2 up, 2 downs' from around 1800 and in recent years was modernised and a small toilet/shower room added. It has been decorated and furnished in keeping with the period complete with some antique furniture so not really suitable for small children. You do actually sense the history in the ambiance. The kitchen is just big enough for 4 to eat round the table and the living room cosy, especially when the log fire is blazing away in the grate but please note, we do not have big loungy sofas - we have period seating that may not be compliant with 21st century expectations. Please be aware of this if you are thinking of booking. Situated in a no-thru road, literally just off the main centre and market square of Bingham, it is quiet but with easy access to Nottingham. Fine for 4 people (max )if not to tall!
YOUNG CHILDREN: Children of a responsible age (over around 5 years) are welcome . The antique style of furnishing means low items like fire tongues, small pictures, decorative lights etc. could easily be damaged and at the same time be dangerous to a small child. We do not have cot facilities, high chairs or any other baby bits and pieces.
MEDIUM TERM LETS: If you are in between houses or working for maybe just 2 or 3 months in the area, it may be that we can give you a slightly preferential rate for a 'medium term ' stay. I regret I cannot possibly match the monthly rates of a 6 month let but I am sure you don't not want the commitment of a 6 month contract either. We could talk about it.
FIBRE WIFI Super Fast : Available in the cottage!! , however Computers with internet/printers can also be found free of charge just 5 minutes away in the local library on an hourly basis.
