This beautifully decorated, detached holiday home is situated on the outskirts of Stathern, Leicestershire. Offering a family of eight a luxurious base for a relaxing getaway, the property enjoys countryside surroundings whilst still being within reach of thriving cities. Ample off-road parking welcomes you on arrival, so you can easily unpack and get your break started. Head inside to find a delightful open-plan living space, where a kitchen enjoying the quirky combination of minimalistic units and mosaic tiling, as well as a range of top-notch appliances awaits. Once the designated chef of the group has made a delicious meal in the kitchen, take it over to the sophisticated, eight-seater dining table and enjoy a meal with all the family. After dinner, settle down on one of the plush sofas in front of the Smart TV and enjoy a Sky or Netflix show as the multi-fuel fire crackles away in the background. When night falls, pick one of the well-appointed bedrooms to rest in, the first resting on the ground floor and featuring a peacock theme, as well as enjoying ramp access to the garden and near a wet room with support rails; ideal for any guests with limited mobility! Climb the stairs to find three more superb bedrooms (all bedrooms have a countryside theme), the first of these being a king-size enjoying gorgeous decor, the second being a charming double and the last room comprising twin beds with countryside views. All the bedrooms come with robes and TVs, adding a touch of luxury. The family bathroom completes the accommodation, offering you the choice between a fabulous, roll-top bath or a glass walk-in shower to freshen up in. Venture out to the landscaped garden, where a patio makes for a great spot for a barbecue, and a hot tub for your personal use, perfect for a soothing dip. The village pub, The Nags head, is one of the oldest pubs in Leicestershire with a family-friendly atmosphere, whilst the Vale of Belvoir trail is excellent for walking routes along the canal and cycle routes ranging from easy to challenging. Lying in the heart of the Vale sits Bottesford, home to The Thatch restaurant, a Grade I listed building dating back to the 17th century, now hosting a contemporary wine lounge and tapas bar! A popular local attraction is Belvoir Castle just five miles from Bankside House and a fabulous day out for the whole family; an open-air cinema, concerts and firework displays are just some of the annual events hosted in this historic setting, while The Engine Yard just across the way has shops, garden centres, and the Balloon bar serving a variety of gins. Visit Belton House for gorgeous parks surrounding a Grade I listed country house, along with a wooden adventure park, cafes, restaurants, and the well-known golf course close by. Travel to Melton Mowbray to see the curious two-headed cow for yourself at Melton Carnegie Museum, wander the marvelous country park, and visit the renowned Twinlakes amusement park. Nottingham, Newark, Leicester, home to the National Space Centre, and Lincoln are all within reach and offer plenty to see and do, too! An impeccable break awaits at Bankside House.
