Private parking for 1 car, 110 yards away. No smoking.. This detached open plan lodge is perfect for a couple’s break away and is sat in the grounds of the owner’s large gardens. There are masses of things to see and do in this area, you can walk from the property down to the River Wye through the Wye Valley and on to Symonds Yat. Monmouth itself is steeped in history and has an abundance of activities. Visit Monmouth Castle and Military Museum or Shire Hall. After all that walking and exploring, visit one of the many cafés or restaurants in the town.
Tintern Abbey is 7 miles from the property and makes for a fantastic day out. Goodrich Castle is another to visit and is just 6 miles away. The Forest of Dean is approximately 10 miles from the lodge, here you can visit Clearwell Caves which are over 4500 years old and there are nine caverns to explore. Puzzlewood is a great day out for adults and kids alike.
Whatever or wherever you decide to go on this holiday, Red Lodge is the perfect place to come back to and relax. There is a lovely summerhouse in the garden where you can sit with a glass of something and watch the sunset. Shop, pub and restaurant 6 miles.
