Set in the peaceful village of Halvergate within walking distance of the nearby pub serving local beer and ales. Acle lies 4½ miles with riverside inn, supermarket, café and shops. Reedham 10 minutes’ drive, has two great pubs, one of which serves delicious food, alongside a café, fish and chip shop, and a railway station for visiting the coastal resorts and Norwich city. Any fishing enthusiasts will love that fishing is available directly along the rivers’ edge (seasonal, licence required).
There are many attractions nearby including the traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth (8 miles), Wroxham, known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads, (14 miles) for waterside restaurants, shops, daily boat hire and river trips. The city of Norwich (16 miles) has two indoor shopping malls, market square, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, art galleries and plenty of cafes, restaurants and inns. Supermarket 4½ miles.
