Log Cabin In Norfolk, Aylsham

Norfolk. Sleeps up to 2

Visiting North Norfolk offers an array of attractions all year round to suit all ages and tastes. The scenic coastline is within easy reach with quaint seaside towns full of cobbled streets and fishing boats as well as larger traditional towns such as Cromer with its pier and sandy beaches, only 11 miles away. Wroxham, the gateway to the 125 miles of waterways that make up the glorious Norfolk Broads is just 10 miles away and can be explored by a hired boat, foot or bicycle. A short drive brings you to the impressive National Trust Blickling Estate (3.5 miles), a breathtaking Jacobean mansion surrounded by historic parks. A short walk away is the River Bure which is great for kayaking. As you park up next to your glamping retreat, take in the surroundings and views over the countryside before heading into your holiday home. Being a converted railway carriage it has an open plan layout with one end housing a handcrafted (raised) double bed with a cute step up if needed, along with plenty of storage space underneath for your personal items. At the foot of the bed is a small TV/DVD player so you can catch up on your favourite movie of an evening (no aerial). In the morning, prepare a coffee in the kitchenette area which has everything you need for making a light snack or even an evening meal, complete with a plug in convection hob, small oven and a fridge. The owner can provide space to freeze anything if needed. The quirky wooden door leads into the shower room which has a basin and WC, and the whole carriage is insulated with an electric heater making it cosy all year round including the chilly winter nights. Outside, there is a gravel area with ample place to sit and enjoy the evening sun with a drink or two or while dining alfresco. There is a Hobbit House BBQ hut which is fantastic and by prior arrangement with the owner, guests can book this to use at their leisure. Within the BBQ hut is a large fire pit with a chimney which adds to the whole outdoor experience and this is perfect for cosying up and cooking. There is allocated parking for one car.
