My beautiful, light Regency flat on Mornington Crescent has recently been fully refurbished and tastefully decorated.
It is consistently one of the top-rated places to stay in this area of London, as the reviews show.
It's quiet, but just 2 minutes (200m) from the Tube, which is direct to Oxford St, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Sq and the South Bank.
I live here mid-week, every week, so I've had time to get the details right - the bed is comfortable, the internet is fast and the shower is powerful.
It's my home for half the year. It can be your perfect London retreat for the other half.
The building and architecture are a perfect example of 1820s elegance, but everything within has been renovated recently to take advantage of light, space and modern convenience.
I live here half the year, so the bed is top quality -- king-size with a memory-foam mattress and goose-down duvet.
The living-room has large windows, with a huge sofa and comfortable reading-chair, a 40-inch (101cm) internet-connected smart-TV, a Bose sound system and superfast 70MB/s wireless internet.
It is open plan onto the kitchen, which has great facilities: dish-washer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso with Aeroccino, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, oven, induction hob/cooktop, extractor, iron and ironing-board.
The bathroom has a big shower with 2 shower-heads.
And I've ensured there's lots of storage -- there's a large bedside cupboard and double wardrobe for your use, as well as space in the kitchen cupboards.
The only thing to note is that this is an old building - the floors creak, the walls wiggle and you don't get the sound-proofing you'd find in a modern building - so please be respectful and understanding of my neighbours.
If you don't know the area, you're in for a treat. The road is quiet, but I live here because it's so close to Euston station (10 minute walk) and I can go running in Regent's Park (3 minutes run away).
10 minutes walk to the north is Camden Lock Market with its crowd of amazing fresh food stalls. I'm surrounded by Camden's shops and bars, and 2 minutes from Mornington Crescent underground station and some good local restaurants. St Pancras and the train to Paris are about 15 minutes walk away.
Mornington Crescent underground station is 2 minutes from the flat, and it's a 10-minute train ride from there to Oxford St, Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and the South Bank.
From the same place buses also take you direct to Oxford St, Regent St, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Tate Britain, Westminster Abbey, Bloomsbury, Notting Hill, Kensington, Baker St, the City and even Hampstead Heath.
But when you can walk to so many amazing places -- Camden, Primrose Hill, Regents Park, Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury -- you might not use public transport as much as you'd expect. In fact, Google Maps will tell you it's just 31 minutes walk to Oxford Circus - the corner of Oxford St and Regent's St and the shopping heart of London.
You'll have the place to yourself. Enjoy it.
Keys: available Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm.
Otherwise keys should be no problem if you give me a few days warning.
